Veneers
What are Veneers?
Veneers are an extraordinarily beautiful way to achieve a complete smile makeover. Almost instantly, gaps can be closed, teeth brightened and crooked teeth straightened. Veneers are thin, custom made casings that cover the front side of your teeth. Veneers are used to correct uneven teeth, worn enamel, discoloration, chipped teeth and irregular spacing, and can last over 20 years. In some cases, veneers can serve a restorative purpose and can protect a damaged tooth from further harm.
What Does the Procedure Involve?
Our unique approach virtually guarantees that you will love your smile redesign with veneers! Dr. Deyton has developed a technique to let you preview your new smile created with veneers not once, but twice! Before any work is done, you will get to see and approve the changes to your smile on a model of your teeth. Then, the day of treatment you will leave with 'trial veneers' so that you can check out and approve the changes to your smile. Once you approve the changes, the final veneers can be made and bonded in placed at a second visit. This is just another example of ExtraordinaryCare® and why our patients rated our care 4.98 out of 5 in an independently collected survey.
What Are the Advantages of Veneers?
Veneers can give your teeth a more natural, aesthetically pleasing appearance and are stain resistant and soft on gums. In some cases, veneers can serve a restorative purpose and can protect a damaged tooth from further harm.
What Are the Risks of Veneers?
If you can chip or crack a tooth, you can chip or crack a veneer. Using teeth to tear open packages, biting fork tines or fishing line have been known to chip teeth and veneers. If there is evidence you grind your teeth Dr. Deyton may recommend a special biteguard to protect your teeth during the strongest grinding episodes that usually occur when you sleep.
